We are back with another BTYO episode and we are talking about a concept that Jaemin Frazer originally talked about on his podcast The Insecurity Project - Episode 245 (links below). Jaemin talks about the idea of gamifying your life - we explain why this is such a powerful concept in this episode! In our interview with Jaemin (episode 4) we talked about why the use of metaphors are so important, more specifically how metaphors are the language of the unconscious mind. The reason why understanding the unconscious mind matters so much is because often it is the very thing that holds us back in life.  Here are the links discussed: Episode 245 - The Insecurity ProjectJaemin’s website Please let us know what you think of this one via Instagram @youngopportunist.Big Love,Reece & BenFollow us on Instagram to stay updated! Thanks again for listening,Reece & Bendd

Ep. 011: The Story of Success, Outliers by Michael Gladwell
S01:E11

Ep. 011: The Story of Success, Outliers by Michael Gladwell

In this episode of the Young Opportunist Podcast, we review Outliers, a famous book written by Michael Gladwell. We examine and discuss what sets the high achievers and ultra successful apart - from Bill Gates to the Beatles.  We generally assume these individuals are given a special 'gift from god' and the questions we always ask about the ultra-successful include:What kind of personal abilities do they have? What special talents or gifts were they born with?We assume the answers to these questions will quite simply explain the reason for their ability to reach the top. Gladwell challenges this mindset and argues that a person's environment and upbringing, together with personal drive and ambition affects his or her possibility and opportunity for success.
